Held on Friday 14 October in Pollica and streamed live, an important webinar – organized by the Municipality of Pollica and the Future Food Institute and included within the schedule of Side events selected by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) – dedicated to Experimental Marine Areas, the protection of the Cilento sea and the promotion of sustainable employment in the blue economy for the younger generations. The webinar addressed the role of Experimental Marine Areas for the future of the Mediterranean through the promotion of science and innovation in support of the Mediterranean Diet and Heritage.
Participating in the proceedings were Rosalba Giugni, President of Marevivo Onlus; Stefano Pisani Mayor of the Municipality of Pollica; Sara Roversi, President of the Future Food Institute; Franz Martinelli, President of Gi.&Me. Association – Rotarians Association for Mediterranean Youth; Giovanni Fiorile, from the University of Naples Federico II and the Surefish project; and Giuseppe Palma, Secretary General of Assoittica Italia. Journalist Domenico Letizia moderated the proceedings.
